​Much more than just another meditation program!
This 5-week comprehensive pain management program introduces research-based methods designed to lessen pain and to improve the quality of life. Attendees must be age 18+.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This program teaches the principles, benefits, and practice of meditation and mind-body wellness as a pain management lifestyle. Attendees are introduced to research-based methods designed to lessen pain and improve their sense of wellbeing. These valuable life-enhancing tools include meditation, breathing techniques, mindful living, visualizations, positive self-talk, best practices to improve sleep, and more. 

Previous meditation experience is not required. 

Slow down, relax the body, quiet the mind, open the heart and heal.

A PROGRAM MODEL THAT WORKS
This experiential learning environment is based on a facilitated small group process, which can be a personally transformative model for learning and healing.

The course model is designed to slowly integrate research-based pain management and stress-reducing techniques into your daily routine building each week. This approach structures measurable results and significant progress in managing chronic pain. As you transition to a new lifestyle of meditation and stress reduction practices, you'll improve your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. 

Deepen your understanding of your mind-body connection, and learn to modify negative behaviors that impact your physical and emotional health. This program identifies common obstacles experienced in meditation and self-care practices and teaches you how to overcome them. Experience a variety of supporting mind/body wellness concepts, makes this meditation course positive and life-changing.

Where: The Airport Health Club - Members and non-members are welcome!
432 Aviation Blvd., Santa Rosa (Studio 4, second floor)
Handicap access and service dogs allowed.

When: Five Saturdays, 11:00 AM-12:30 PM, February 9 until March 9
Registration has closed.

Cost: $325 / Early registration $295
This is a small group course, limited to 12 attendees.

About the presenter

Lorraine Alexander first learned to meditate at the young age of 15, and through her mother's influence, she lived a life infused with meditation and mind-body practices. This course was inspired by her own challenging experience with chronic pain.

  • Lead instructor for DASA Meditation's annual Teachers' Recertification Training since 2015
