INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION
It is ideal to attend an introductory lecture in advance of learning the DASA method. Learning the long list of science-backed benefits helps each student commit to his/her daily practice.

LEARNING THE DASA TECHNIQUE INVOLVES TWO PRIVATE-TRAINING SESSIONS.
- Meet with an instructor - 1/2 hr. It is ideal to meet an instructor in advance. Get an overview and discuss your goals for a meditation practice.
- First training session - 1 1/2 hrs. Learn the elegant, simple-to-follow DASA relaxation technique. Each person receives personal and private instruction.
- Second training session - 1 hr. The follow-up instruction ensures comprehension and proper use of the technique. This appointment includes time for questions the student may have.
- Check-in - Check in with the instructor to discuss your progress or to ask questions. A third meeting may be offered as needed (left to the discretion of the teacher and student).
ADDITIONAL INFO
Sitting comfortably upright in a chair is the most preferable sitting position. Other sitting positions include the quarter lotus, the half-lotus, or the full-lotus. These are also effective and acceptable forms of sitting for this practice. DASA instructors are certified to teach the four-part method taught exactly as designed by the founder. Each year, instructors attends a three-day annual recertification training, offering the highest standard of instruction available.
