ADESHANANDA
The Originator and Founder of DASA Meditation
DASA Meditation blends the most practical aspects of Eastern philosophies and meditation techniques available to the West - without any dogma or religious beliefs attached. This straightforward approach brings relief for the deeper problems to daily life.
Adeshananda (known as Adesha), originator and founder of DASA, thoroughly investigated all the know philosophies and techniques of expanding awareness, including the study and use of other techniques. Her formal training includes advanced courses in Switzerland and California, including intensive teachers' training held in Spain. From there, she spent time in India exploring the teaching techniques of the masters.
These broad experiences, including her time spent in India, brought her to develop her own unique silent meditation technique, which she combined with refined instruction methods. She has also given many weeklong seminars and workshops for growth and awareness.
Thousands have taken her instruction with rewarding and dramatic results. Her radio broadcasts, public lectures, and personal instruction have taken her as far as India and won her students from fourteen states.
She continued her work passionately throughout the remainder of her life, followed by many devoted meditation students throughout the U.S. and Canada. Many remained with her for over 40 years. On August 5, 2014, Adeshananda passed, leaving the legacy of DASA Meditation to continue through the efforts of her daughter and the DASA Certified Mentors.

We have preserved the purity of the DASA Method, taught exactly as designed by Adesha in 1975.
