About
Throughout her life, Lorraine embraced natural concepts to support health, wellness, and the human spirit. With evidence-based training and decades practice, she helps others to raise their awareness and transmute stress, so they can live their "best life."
MEDITATION EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Lorraine was introduced to meditation at the young age of 15 and has since lived a life infused with meditation and mind-body practices. These personal experiences build a strong foundation for instructing others. In 2014, she stepped into the role of executive director to serve DASA Meditation. She leads the annual DASA Teachers' Training Program in California and Pennsylvania. As a second-generation DASA instructor and trainer, she shares this deeply effective stress-reducing technique developed by her mother in 1975 through wellness programs and personal instruction.
MEDITATION FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT
In the summer of 2017, Lorraine designed and launched a six-week meditation program for NCFRP (Northern California Functional Restorative Program). The program targeted pain management for patients suffering from debilitating injuries and chronic pain by delivering a diverse toolbox of life-enhancing skills. She taught the bilingual mindful-based program at the new Rohnert Park, California facility, a division of Pain & Rehabilitative Consultants Medical Group, a CARF accredited Center of Excellence.
MIND-BODY RESILIENCE TRAINING
Lorraine joined two "train the trainers" certification courses designed to offer stress and trauma relief to the victims of the North Bay wildfires of California. The Center for Mind-Body Medicine was chosen to facilitate the training of 108 individuals. Combined, the graduates will deliver mind-body healing workshops to over 8,000 people in the coming years. This training is delivered to disaster areas throughout the world. Learn more.
Lorraine is a graduate of the Sonoma Community Resilience Collaborative, which includes the following mindful-based training:
